On the evening of July 25, the Deepal S07 under Deepal Automobile officially went on the market. The new car has launched 10 models in total, and the price range is 14.99-21.29 million yuan. After the new car goes on the market, it will compete with models such as Nezha L and Leapmotor C10.
It is understood that the new car can be regarded as a facelifted model of the Deepal S7. In terms of power, it provides two power systems of pure electric and extended-range. The high-end model is equipped with the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE version intelligent driving system.
In terms of appearance, the new car basically maintains the same design style as the Deepal S7. Both the pure electric version and the extended-range version adopt the same shape. The front face adopts a closed grille, and on both sides are equipped with split headlight groups with sharp shapes, making the front of the car look more aggressive. A large-size vent is retained below, and the intelligent interactive light groups on both sides have 696 light sources, which can realize light projections such as pedestrian courtesy, driving status reminder, and special scene animation, with extremely high recognition. In addition, the lower surround of the new car also adopts a trapezoidal grille design and is decorated with fin-like ornaments of the same color as the body, making the front face more layered and the visual effect more impactful.
On the side of the body, the new car adopts a crossover SUV design style with rich overall lines and a large number of broken lines are used to enhance the three-dimensional sense. It is equipped with a hidden door handle and a brand-new double-color petal-shaped wheel rim, and the overall visual effect is very fashionable. At the rear of the car, the new car is mainly simple in shape. The taillights adopt a through design, and a thin trim strip runs through the taillights on both sides. In the middle is the brand LOGO. In terms of power, it provides extended-range hybrid and pure electric version models, and mainly competes with models such as BYD Tang, Frigate 07 and Tesla Model Y in the car market.
Up to now, the models on sale under Deepal Automobile include Deepal SL03, Deepal S7 and Deepal G318, a total of three models. Among them, Deepal G318 was launched on June 13. This car is the first hard-core SUV model under Deepal Automobile. It has launched 6 models with a price range of 17.59-31.80 million yuan. In terms of power, the whole series is equipped with a 1.5T extended-range power system, providing single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions, and the CLTC pure electric cruising range is up to 190 kilometers.
Retail data shows that in the first half of 2024, the cumulative sales volume of Deepal Automobile is 67,835 units, among which the Deepal S07 is 37,800 units and the Deepal SL03 is 30,000 units.
According to reports, the internal PPT of Chang’an Deepal Automobile shows that in addition to the Deepal S07, Deepal Automobile will also launch three models including the Deepal L07 and the codes C518, C857 and D587 in the future. Among them, the official picture of the L07 has been released in May this year. This car is a product of in-depth cooperation between Deepal Automobile and Huawei, and it is expected to be equipped with Huawei’s intelligent driving solution to bring a refreshed intelligent driving experience. According to the product release rhythm, the new car will be launched within the year and will be sold together with the Deepal SL03 after going on the market. Among them, the SL03 focuses on sports technology, while the L07 focuses on intelligent technology.
