(hereinafter referred to as “China Changan”) officially announced the decision on the adjustment of the main leaders: Comrade Chen Wei is appointed as the president and deputy secretary of the Party committee of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. The appointment and removal of relevant positions shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws and charters.
The information shows that Chen Wei was born in 1972 and is now 52 years old. He graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree, but the specific graduation institution has not been disclosed. He once served as the deputy director, director and Party secretary of the Changan Automobile Manufacturing Factory; the personnel vice president and discipline inspection secretary of Changan Ford Co., Ltd.; the minister of manufacturing and logistics department, Party branch secretary and the company’s OTD project director of Changan Automobile; the general manager and Party secretary of Beijing Changan Automobile Company; the Party secretary of Changan Suzuki; in September 2018, Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Changan Automobile”) issued an announcement. Upon the nomination of Zhu Huarong, the president of Changan Automobile, the board of directors intends to appoint Ye Pei, Chen Wei, Li Mingcai and Zhao Fei as the company’s vice presidents. According to the annual report of Changan Automobile, Chen Wei is currently the executive vice president of Changan Automobile, a director of Changan Ford, and a director of China Changan.
It is worth noting that previously, Zhao Fei was promoted to the chairman of China Changan Automobile. In October 2023, China Changan announced a major personnel appointment: Comrade Zhao Fei is appointed as the chairman and Party secretary of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and no longer serves as the president and deputy secretary of the Party committee of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. It is understood that Zhao Fei served as the president and deputy secretary of the Party committee of China Changan Automobile in December 2022. Before that, he served as the vice president and executive vice president of Changan Automobile, as well as the Party secretary and executive vice president of Changan Ford.
The information shows that China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was established in December 2005, and was originally named China South Industries Automobile Co., Ltd. It is a super-large automobile enterprise affiliated to China North Industries Group Corporation. In November 2009, theand China Aviation Industry Corporation carried out a strategic reorganization of their automotive industries and jointly held shares in China Changan; in 2018, the carried out the integration and optimization of the automotive industry, fully controlling China Changan 100%, and officially changed its name to China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. in 2019.

According to the annual report of Changan Automobile, China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. holds 17.98% of the equity of Changan Automobile and is the largest controlling shareholder, while China North Industries Group Corporation holds 14.23% and is the second largest controlling shareholder.
The Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. controlled by China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. is a well-known domestic vehicle manufacturing enterprise, and has currently formed three electric brands of Chang’an Qiyuan, Deep Blue Automobile, and AITO. In the first half of 2024, the cumulative sales volume of Changan Automobile was 1,334,100 units, an increase of 9.74% year-on-year. Among them, the cumulative sales volume of self-owned passenger cars was 821,900 units, an increase of 7.01% year-on-year; the cumulative sales volume of self-owned brand new energy was 299,100 units, an increase of 69.87% year-on-year.
