On August 27th, the Chery Fengyun T11 officially made its debut. The Fengyun T11 is the first SUV model of the Chery Fengyun series to adopt extended-range hybrid technology. It features a brand-new exterior design and is positioned as a medium to large SUV. For reference, the price range of the Fengyun T10 is 189,900 – 229,900 yuan. It is expected that the starting price of the Fengyun T11 will be around 200,000 yuan. The concept car of the Fengyun T11 was showcased at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show. As a production vehicle, adjustments were made to the overall exterior styling. The front face adopts the closed central grille commonly used in new energy vehicles, and the interior is decorated with vertical waterfall-style chrome strips. There is a black trim strip and a through-type light bar above, connecting with the flat headlight groups on both sides. The through-type lower grille in the front bumper area is also filled with vertical waterfall-style elements, and there are longitudinal chrome strips on both sides as embellishments, further enhancing the refinement of the front of the vehicle. On the side of the vehicle body, the Fengyun T11 adopts a two-tone body painting. Chrome decorative strips are added to the side windows and the lower edge of the doors. Positioned as a medium to large SUV, its interior will adopt a 2+2+2 six-seat layout. The second row has two independent seats that can move forward and backward. At the rear of the vehicle, the Fengyun T11 adopts a through-type taillight group, and the English logo “FULWIN” is marked above the taillight group. The “Fengyun T11” on the lower right corner of the tailgate indicates the identity information. It is worth noting that the new vehicle’s rear bumper is decorated with a through-type chrome strip. The entire tailgate and rear window are very large, enhancing the overall vehicle’s presence. In terms of the interior, the Fengyun T11 adopts a simple design style overall and is equipped with a 30-inch integrated dual-screen. There is an independent suspended LCD instrument panel in front of the driver. The two-spoke steering wheel adopts a flat-bottom structure. The shift mechanism adopts a column shifter. The details such as the lever-type window control and button-type door opening in the door panel area are all popular design elements nowadays. At the same time, the new vehicle adds wood grain decorative pieces in details such as the center console and doors. A large area of the interior is wrapped with leather materials. The interior adopts a 2+2+2 layout. The rear row is equipped with a 17.3-inch super-large ceiling-mounted screen. The entire vehicle is equipped with 23 speakers. All six seats in the vehicle can be controlled by voice. The front row and the second row seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The entire vehicle is wrapped with a large area of leather. The new vehicle also offers a hidden onboard refrigerator. In terms of power, the official has not disclosed specific parameters for the time being. However, the official stated that the Fengyun T11 will adopt an extended-range hybrid system, be equipped with front and rear dual motors, and the pure electric cruising range is expected to exceed 200km. The comprehensive cruising range exceeds 1400km and supports high-power external power discharge. The new vehicle is equipped with front double wishbone and rear five-link suspensions to provide better handling performance. In terms of intelligent driving, the new vehicle offers NOP urban driving assistance and memory parking functions. Chery’s new new energy sequence “Fengyun” was officially released on November 9, 2023. Currently, it has covered sedan and SUV models, including Fengyun A8 (plug-in compact sedan, with a price range of 109,900 – 149,900 yuan), Fengyun T6 (plug-in compact SUV, with a price range of 129,900 – 156,900 yuan), Fengyun T9 (plug-in medium-sized SUV, with a price range of 129,900 – 169,900 yuan), Fengyun T10 (plug-in medium to large SUV, with a price range of 189,900 – 229,900 yuan), as well as the upcoming Fengyun A9, Fengyun E06, and other models. According to the official plan, the Fengyun sequence will cover three powers of hybrid, extended-range, and pure electric, and is divided into three major series of A, T, and M, comprehensively laying out SUV, sedan, and MPV categories, with products covering various size levels from A0 to C. As an extended-range medium to large SUV, the main competitors of the Fengyun T11 include Li Auto L9, AITO M9, etc. However, considering its brand and market positioning, the overall price of the Fengyun T11 may be significantly lower than the above-mentioned models. It may compete with medium to large SUVs such as AITO M7, Li Auto L7, and Wey Blue Mountain. As for its final pricing and market performance, we will wait and see.
