The top three automakers are BYD, Wuling, and Tesla, with weekly sales of 87,800 units, 15,000 units, and 14,200 units respectively. Judging from the sales of the top three brands, BYD’s sales have significantly surpassed any other brand and has long held the top position.

Among them, Volkswagen is the only foreign brand on the list.
Then let’s take a look at the TOP10 sales list of new force brands in the Chinese market. Li Auto is still the sales champion of new force brands in the Chinese market, with a weekly sales of 11,600 units; AITO follows, at 9,000 units, with a difference of 2,600 units from Li Auto.

Judging from the sales data, there is still a sales gap between Li Auto and AITO. Yesterday, the new AITO M7 was launched. The new car has launched 4 models, with the price range being 249,800 – 289,800 yuan. The power still comes with a 1.5T range extender, providing two power layouts of single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. Among them, the maximum power of the 1.5T range extender is 110 kilowatts, the maximum power of the front axle motor is 130 kilowatts, and the maximum power of the rear axle motor is 200 kilowatts. Regarding the future performance of the new car, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, Chairman of Terminal BG, and Chairman of Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, said that the new AITO M7 Pro is the best SUV in the 250,000-yuan class.

Judging from the positioning and price of the new car, the new car mainly competes with models such as Li Auto L6/L7 and VOYAH FREE. As for whether the launch of the new car can boost the sales of AITO, it remains to be verified. For reference, the sales of Li Auto L6 in July was 24,900 units; the sales of AITO M7 was 15,600 units.

Leapmotor squeezed into the top three, with a weekly sales of 6,200 units. Compared with the previous week (from August 12th to August 18th), the sales have increased. For reference, the sales of Leapmotor in the previous week was 5,300 units. Judging from the sales trend in the first few weeks of this month, it is expected that the sales of Leapmotor this month may reach a new high. Before this, Leapmotor’s delivery volume exceeded 20,000 units for two consecutive months in June and July. Among them, the sales in July was 22,100 units, an increase of 54.12% year-on-year, setting a new historical high in monthly delivery volume.

Overall, currently, whether it is new energy brands, new force brands or luxury brands, the competition among various brands is still fierce. Especially after entering the second half of the year, many automakers have begun to launch new cars intensively. It is understood that at the upcoming Chengdu Auto Show, including BYD Seal 06 GT, Nezha S Shooting Brake, the new generation Haval H9, Volkswagen Passat PRO, Volkswagen Tharu New, the all-new Cadillac XT5, Avita 07, Zeekr 7X, Zhijie R7, the all-new BMW M5, the all-new BMW X3 long-wheelbase version, Deepal Blue S05, Jiyue 07, Beijing Hyundai All-new Santa Fe and many other new cars will make their debut or be launched. With the launch of more new cars, consumers’ car purchase choices will be more diversified, but at the same time, the competition for automakers will also intensify.
